Children of the World - India is a registered public charitable organization affiliated to Enfants Du Monde, France. It’s mission is to reach out to the most underprivileged and marginalized sections of the society especially children and women regardless to their social, religious, racial, cultural and political persuasions.
Located in Pondicherry CWI promote vocational education to underprivileged young adults under "Artyzan Community Collage" affiliated to Bharathiar University Coimbatore and a crèche in Chennai in partnership with Hirco benefiting migrant construction worker's children.
Past important project are: Rehabilitation of infertile agricultural land through organic farming techniques for tsunami affected farmers who benefited 4.000 farmers and a primary health center for coastal villages in north of Tamilnadu who benefited more than 16.000 persons.
CWI's projects are supported by French Red Cross, European Commission, Enfant Du Monde- France, Sports Sans Frontiers, Voice of Children, ADER, Cyrus, Priya Vandrevala foundation etc. apart from many leading international corporations and philanthropic individuals.
