Health Centre

To offer assistance to the disadvantaged population after the tsunami, a dispensary was opened and received its first patients on Monday August 22, 2005. The patients are received by 2 doctors. The first one excels in allopathic medicine (Monday at Friday from 3.30 pm to 7.00pm) and the second one,  in Siddha medicine (Monday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 6.00pm).

A dilapidated 18th century roadside rest house has been renovated into a Health-Center, which runs with the help of CERTH India. This Health Center reaches out to people from 14 villages in Villupuram district of Tamilnadu. More than 3000 people every month get medical attention here. Allopathic and Sidha medicines are offered free of cost. There is a male and female doctor supported by a 4-member team. Apart from regular operations,  the Health Center also conducts special camps for particular ailments and awareness programs for women and children.

The project has benefited more than 16.000 persons and is now closed
